Audi Q7 Predictive Efficiency Assistance with Cruise Control System

Lighter,
more efficient and full of high-tech - The new Audi Q7 In collaboration with adaptive cruise
control (ACC) and traffic sign recognition, the predictive efficiency assistant adapts the
pre-selected speed to the routeand the speed limits. The adaptive cruise control system
accelerates and brakesto keep the Q7 at the desired distance from the vehicle ahead.
The predictive efficiency assistant is a groundbreaking innovation from Audi. It uses the

route data from the navigation system to alert the driver of situations in which it would make
sense to reduce speed, such as before curves, towns or speed limit signs that are not yet visible.

Luxurious
comfort, the largest interior in the segment and a weight saving of up to 325
kilograms (716.5 lb) – the new edition of the Q7 from Audi sets new standards.
Its innovative assistance and infotainment systems take the large SUV to the
front of the pack. Its new engines consume significantly less fuel than the
previous model. In the Audi Q7 3.0 TDI e-tron quattro the brand with the four
rings for the first time combines an efficient plug-in hybrid drive with
quattro permanent all-wheel drive.

Audi
utilizes high-resolution navigation maps for its driver assistance systems.
Highly precise data leads to greater convenience and better fuel economy
Predictive efficiency assistant in the Audi Q7 achieves up to ten percent fuel
savings. It utilizes information about the topography to get the car to its
destination with greater efficiency and convenience. High-resolution maps will
also play a key role in piloted driving. Audi is working on the navigation map
of the future with strategic partners such as Dutch map and navigation supplier
TomTom – utilizing various technology platforms in the process. The next
generation of the Audi A8 will be a front-runner in piloted driving technology
and the use of high-resolution maps.

Audi
customers can already realize significant benefits from precise map materials.
The predictive efficiency assistant in the new Audi Q7 uses highly precise
route data that includes information on elevation profiles – it works with this
data even while the driver is not actively using navigation. If desired, the
system can also be used to help economize on fuel. It offers practical
fuel-saving tips to drivers in situations in which reducing speed makes sense.
The predictive efficiency assistant recognizes curves, roundabouts and
intersections, descents and ascents, as well as municipality border signs and
speed limit signs – often before the driver even sees them. Drivers who fully
utilize this features can reduce fuel consumption by up to ten percent

Audi Q7 Audi Car Driver Assistance Pre Sense System Animation

The Audi pre sense city safety system is a hi-tech super artificial intelligent technology used in Audi cars. It is also called collision avoidance system. Audi pre sense city warns the driver at city speeds it warns of impending collisions with other vehicles or pedestrians and will initiate heavy advanced braking system in an emergency. Thanks to Audi anti-crash, auto braking and crash avoidance cars technology. In the near future crash prevention cars will be more available by the year 2020.  The continuous improvement of vehicle safety is one of the foremost objectives in the development of new vehicles. New driver assistance systems that have been introduced into series production for the first time on board the Audi Q7 make a considerable contribution in this regard. On request, a number of innovative driver assistance systems are also available in the Q7, for example the radar-based Audi side assist, the optical parking system with audible and visual information and the reversing camera.

A frequent cause of accidents when changing lanes is that other vehicles are overlooked.
By continuously monitoring the adjacent lanes, in particular the area to the rear of the vehicle, the Audi side assist supports the driver during overtaking and lane-change manoeuvres and thus makes a contribution to active safety. The driver is alerted if one of the adjacent lanes is occupied by one or more road users. Despite the system’s capability, the driver must always be aware that the system serves as an aid, but cannot take the
responsibility away from the driver for his/her own decisions.

Despite the Audi side assist, it is still necessary for the driver to turn his/her head, look in the side mirror and observe the traffic. The electronic parking aid system has been further improved. Two new functions are now available to the customer. The familiar acoustic parking aid system has been expanded by a graphic screen display in the MMI. Using bar diagrams this provides the customer with a detailed depiction of the point at which a collision may occur. The bar diagrams permit the distance from the obstacle to be estimated with precision. The familiar acoustic feedback is retained.

Drivers who would prefer to get a picture of the situation behind the rear of the vehicle for themselves, can have the image from a reversing camera displayed on the MMI screen. The camera which has been integrated into the tailgate handle provides an ideal overview of the situation behind the vehicle. The camera image appears automatically when reverse gear is engaged.
